Kenny G Biography and Early Life.
Kenny G was brought up in a Jewish family in the Seattle Seward Park area. He was born into a family of Saskatchewanian Canadian Jews. At the age of ten, he was inspired to be a saxophone player after witnessing a performance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
In 1966 he began playing the alto saxophone with Buffet Crampon. His determination helped him to re-audition, and in the next year, he won first chair even though he failed to gain access into his high school jazz band in the early years.
At Franklin High School he met Robert Damper, who would subsequently become his pianist. Kenny proceeded with his education at the University of Washington, where he graduated with honors in accounting.

Kenny G has two marriages in his personal life. He married first in 1980, Janice DeLeone; however, in 1987, they separated.
In 1992 he married Lyndie Benson, and the two of them have two sons, Max and Noah. Regretfully, they broke up in 2012. He remains close to his sons despite the mayhem.

Kenny G joined Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra as a sideman in the year 1973, and at the age of just 17 years, Kenny G started his career. He continued with his professional playing career even as he majored in accounting at the University of Washington.
In 1982, Kenny G signed a solo deal with Arista Records after making the label head, Clive Davis, listen to his performance of the ABBA song Dancing Queen.
