Allison Adler Early Life.
Adler, being born in Canada, in Montreal, Quebec, was born into a Jewish family. Her grandfather and father had been Romianian holocaust survivors. They were subsequently assimilated into American citizens.
Allison Adler's Personal Life.
Adler dated actress Sara Gilbert between 2001 and 2011. They are the parents of two babies, a son, Levi Hank, born to Adler in October 2004 and a daughter, Sawyer Jane, born to Gilbert in August 2007. Gilbert later separated in August 2011 on a friendly note with Adler.
Later in 2013, Adler started dating producer and writer Liz Brixius. In November 2014, the couple became engaged. They broke up in May 2017.

In 1997, Adler started working on a TV series called Veronica in Closet. Between 2001 and 2002 Adler created 13 Family Guy and 16 Just Shoot Me! episodes; she was the supervising producer on 9 episodes of Still Standing.
On several shows, she was a co-executive producer, such as Life As We Know It, Women of a Certain Age, and Emily Reasons Why Not.
Chuck was a product of Adler as the co-executive and executive producer between 2007 and 2010. In May 2010, Adler was brought on board the ABC series No Ordinary Family, and in 2011, he joined the Glee writing staff beginning with the third season.
She collaborated with Glee creator Ryan Murphy on The New Normal, which she worked on until its cancellation in May 2013.
Adler produced Supergirl with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg in 2015. The play is on the basis of the female cousin of Superman, Kara Zor-El. In 2017, with two seasons under his belt, Adler departed Supergirl on a full-time basis to join The CW in re-creating Dynasty as well as entering into a development deal with CBS Television Studios.
